A masterpiece crowns two centenaries

To commemorate their company's centenary, Montblanc and Van Cleef & Arpels have joined forces to create a fascinating expression of the finest craftsmanship and exquisite jewellery: The Limited Edition Mystery Masterpiece.

This outstanding edition, peak of century-spanning tradition and experties the two Maisons are best known for, will be released in three different variations, set either with rubies, sapphires or emeralds, strictly limited to three pieces worldwide each.
The Edition was presented in New York on the 8th Februar 2007, by Montblanc CEO Lutz Bethge and Van Cleef & Arpels CEO Stanislas de Quercize.

The legendary "Mystery Setting", a tecnique patented in 1933 by Van Cleef & Arpels, magically conceals the gemstone settings and perfects the illusion of vivid blossoms - while Montblanc's meticulously crafted skeleton body enables the delicate white gold ornaments to float on the backgroung of transparent resin. 

The cap is crowned by a Montblanc star made of round diamonds while an exquisite butterfly in white gold set with diamonds lies on the clip. The rhodium-plated solid gold nib is engraved in commemoration of the anniversary for which this exceptional Mystery Masterpiece has been created: "One Hundred Years of Van Cleef & Arpels and Montblanc".
